21 Social Media Post Ideas For Online Marketing

This page was last updated on 20 September 2022

Struggling to drum up new and fresh social media content?

As online marketers, it can be down right frustrating to come up with creative ideas everyday, and then post content gold across every platform.

Frankly, spending hours on social media is something you and I want to avoid.

If you want to spend less time spinning your wheels and have a content calendar all set ready to go, here’s 21 social media post ideas to move the needle.

And did you know …

Some social platforms like Facebook have a free tool, Business Suite, that you can use on your smartphone, desktop and laptop to automate and schedule your posts and stories?

However, you’ll need a Facebook business page to kickstart the posting automation.

And if you are marketing on more than one social platform, third party tools like MeetEdgar, Hootsuite and others are worth a look in.

But if you do not have the budget for such tools, you’ll have to go the old fashion way and post it manually.

And, when it comes to generating potential sales, simply plugging the product and company all over your social newsfeed will not work.

Instead focus on providing loads of helpful content, so you can build up the engagements for more reach.

Content that will improve the lives of your target audience, and help build your credibility with them.

Without any form of trust, you won’t be able to generate any sales or signups.

Make sense?

Anyway, with the cheat-sheet of social media marketing content ideas below, you’ll never find yourself staring at a blank screen again.

21 Social Media Content Ideas

1. Articles and blog posts

If you have a blog, why not share the link to your blog posts and share the articles to your social media feeds.

What’s more, each blog post can be ‘repurposed’ and shared on social media.

Another option is to turn one blog post into chunk bite sized social media posts.

One more idea is to turn a ‘how to’ or ‘tip’ based article into chunks of social media content posts!

Take every opportunity to squeeze more life out of your blog posts!

2. Evergreen blog posts

Repost your older ‘evergreen’ content (posts, videos, Live, etc) that is still relevant or has become useful again.

Better yet, you can repurpose the older content into newer posts.

For example, you can take screenshots of an older video and share it as photo posts.

3. Live videos

A survey conducted by the team at Vimeo and New York Magazine found that four out of five people prefer watching a Live video over reading a blog post.

What’s more, social platforms like Facebook do give Lives more organic reach.

If you haven’t presented a Live, then it’s time to get out of your comfort zone.

So start a ‘Live’ video, share great value in helping your viewers, and give your personal brand a lift in exposure.

4. Videos

Unless you have been living in the jungles of Borneo, videos are big.

Think Youtube. It’s the second biggest search engine behind Google.

So why not take advantage of the eyeball traffic it can bring.

Other video options include Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, IGTV and more.

The neat thing is you only need a smartphone, a tripod and sufficient lighting to create a decent video.

Again, if you are not posting videos you are missing out on more reach and engagement.

5. Bite sized videos

Video marketing doesn’t have to be complicated, and it doesn’t have to be a high end quality production.

In fact, it requires minimal editing, and can be shot in a matter of seconds.

Which is perfect for platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

One way to create bite sized videos is to turn snippets of blog post into a video.

6. Animations

Another form of video to consider are Animated videos.

You can use a free tool like Animoto or Canva and it’ll quickly whip up the videos for you.

Another option for fresh content is to repurpose an old post or posts and turn it into a text driven video using a tool like InVideo.

7. Behind-the-scenes look

If you have followers, why not share a little bit of what you do.

You can share photos and videos that give your people an inside peek of the daily stuff.

Or … post photos or videos that showcase your events.

Or even, provide a photo peek into the creative planning behind your work, either a peek at equipment you use for LIVEs or some snaps of event preparations.

8. Quotes

Whether it is an affirmation or a motivational quote, people do like reading them.

You can even pull a snippet of your blog content or old social posts and fancy it up into a shareable quote using Canva. If you are borrowing the quote or message, please attribute it to the person or company.

9. Memes

Don’t be afraid to  show off your sense of humor. Funny meme posts can be engaging. And it helps keep your account fun and relevant. However, be sure to post memes that are not offensive or embarrassing to your brand. Here’s a funny example below of a creative social media post from @chubbies
social media post ideas for small business

10. Conduct interviews

Rather than a standard Q&A session, why not take advantage of Live platforms like Facebook Live … and turn it into a useful interview session.

Interviewing successful entrepreneurs or customers in your niche serves as a nice combination of information and entertainment.

Services such as BeLive and Streamyard makes it easy to conduct simple split-screen interviews in real-time on social platforms like Facebook.

This is a fantastic method of delivering value to your audience.

And as it is a social interview, it doesn’t have to be formal. For authenticity, plan it to be off the cuff and informal.

11. Tips, tricks and tutorials

There are a few ways to share this out. From Live video, pre-recorded video, designed text images to photos. It’s an effective way to share value and build the know, like and trust with your brand.

12. Ask a question

One simple way to get more engagement is to ask your followers questions.

You can ask away on both Stories and text posts.

However …

Text posts generally get less engagement, and it is not as fun.

Instead, get funky with Facebook or Instagram Stories using the in-built features like poll, music, green screen, stickers and so on.

Below are 8 simple questions you can ask …

  • I am looking for a business related book recommendation, have you read
    anything lately that you’ve love?
  • What’s your favorite motivational quote? I could use a little kick today.
  • What’s your favorite software or tool that makes your life easy?
  • What’s your best tip for keeping yourself organized?
  • What’s your favorite social network and why?
  • Who’s your favorite person to follow online? I’m looking for some inspiration!
  • You can only choose 1. Would you rather have Facebook or Instagram?
  • What is your current favorite podcast?

Wink … why not swipe the above questions and post them on your social platform.

And start asking a question or for advice to boost engagement.

13. Fill in the blanks

A simple yet fun way to allow people to engage and comment their opinions.

Some examples of the fill in the blanks …

  • Fill in the blank: My biggest social media marketing headache is ______
  • Fill in the blank: If I had an unlimited social media budget I would spend it on _____
  • Fill in the blank: ________________ always makes me feel inspired.
  • Fill in the blank: ________________ always makes me feel cheerful.
  • Fill in the blank: ________________ always makes me feel flattered.
  • Fill in the blank: ________________ always makes me feel captivated.
  • Fill in the blank: I find ________________ hilarious!
  • Fill in the blank: ________________ always makes me feel appreciated.
  • Fill in the blank: ________________ always makes me feel amazed.

14. Would you rather posts

My kids love to use it a lot at school and at home. And they get a lot of kick from the answers.

And it’s great for getting engagements on social media too.

A few examples …

  • Would you rather be famous or the best friend of someone famous?
  • Would you rather hike a mountain or lay on the beach?
  • Would you rather have the ability to see 10 minutes into the future or 150 years into the future?
  • Would you rather team up with Wonder Woman or Captain Marvel?
  • Would you rather find true love today or win the lottery next year?
  • Would you rather have 5 close friends or 10,000 Facebook friends?
  • Would you rather lose all of your money and valuables or all of your
    photos?
  • Would you rather have an easy job working for someone else or be your
own boss but work incredibly hard?

Again, to grab more eye ball attention, post them with images.

15. This or that

Another fun engaging post to get advice ‘A or B’. But keep it short and let your audience choose between two options. Below is an example from The Salty Road …
social media ideas for small business

16. Lifestyle posts

Share a slice of your life. Whether it be about a hobby, holiday travels, social stuff, attending events, personal questions or humor, just mix it up with personal content.

Bonus questions you can swipe and post include ..

  • Tell us what you think about our new product?
  • How’s your *Saturday* going so far
  • What do you think about *insert topical trend*?
  • What’s something you’re thankful for today?
  • Have you done your Christmas/Easter/Valentine shopping yet?

17. Sharing a milestone

Reached a milestone?

Why not share your success with your audience.

Featured in an interview? Overcame a struggle? Earnt an incentive? Finally, got onto a Live video?

Let your people know.

Sharing these little moments allows people to have a bird’s eye view of your personal journey of growth.

And getting social about these successes doesn’t have to be about the product.

It’s about building your personal brand and the trust in YOU.

18. Repurpose your content

The first 6 social media post ideas touched on repurposing blog posts and videos.

And it only makes sense, you repurpose and reuse your Live video, pre-recorded video and video animations for more reach.

One G.R.E.A.T way is to reuse your videos for podcasting.

You can simply use a free tool like Movie Make (Windows) or Real Player to extract audio for podcasting!

Or for a quicker and convenient option, YouTube to MP3 is a website that allows you to copy and paste your Youtube video URL, and it’ll convert it into a MP3 format!

Now that’s super sweet.

Another great content hack is to repurpose your older social posts and remix it with new images or videos.

Just think about it.

You put in a lot of time and effort in creating a piece of content.

Doesn’t it make sense to squeeze more juice out of every video you put out there?

For sure, repurposing an old content into a new post is one great way to keep your message in front of both new and existing audience.

19. Spotlight your customer

Have a few successful customers? Why not mention them, and give your appreciation of their support, or milestones. It’s a great way to showcase your product or service.

20. Share relevant content

Instead of writing a comprehensive 3000 word article, you can share (and credit) other people’s work in your niche.

By curating content, you’re showcasing your brand as someone who has his fingers on the pulse, and sharing content that will benefit your audience.

21. Give away something for free

Offer a free incentive (lead magnet like an online course, a guide, etc) to encourage readers to give up their email address, so you can build an email list of the very best prospects.

There you go …

21 straight-forward social media marketing content ideas for businesses to put into action now.

So set aside a time to plan your content on a calendar.

Focus on providing content of value (plenty of it) that will help your target audience.

And put them into action.

If you are using a Facebook business page, take advantage of the Business Suite scheduler and schedule out your content.

And when you do get engagements, reply back with meaningful comments and lead the discussion to where you would like it to end.

Facebook Page Or Personal Profile For A Home Business

Facebook Page Or Personal Profile For A Home Business

Facebook Page Or Personal Profile For A Home Business

This post was last updated on 13 September 2022

Is it better to have a Facebook page or profile to build your business online?

In this post, I’ll cover the positives and negatives of each Facebook platform.

However, it’s important to highlight that you can have success just by using either one method … or both.

The only difference is, one method will not be able to allow you to scale your business fast.

And if you’re serious in taking the business to the next level, you want to have the option to grow the business long term … and automate most of the prospecting stuff.

Which you do want … right?

I bet you do.

So let’s look at the differences between Facebook personal profile and page.

Facebook Business Page vs Personal Profile

1. Facebook Personal Profile.

There’s no question about it, you can have success with your own personal profile.

I’ve seen many well known marketers, networkers, entrepreneurs and friends make it work in their niche using their personal profile.

The big plus is …

It’s FREE to use.

And it’s the quickest way to get started on Facebook, especially if you do not have an advertising budget.

To kickstart it all, here’s three strategies to build your business.  It will show you how to recruit and build your business with a personal profile.

But no matter the strategy you move forward with, know your target audience and lead with value that will benefit your audience.

However, please bare in mind the first negative below.

And It’s a BIG one too.

Negative #1 : Limited Reach

The big issue with a personal profile is that you cannot have more than 5,000 friends.

Plus, if you’re looking to take the business to the next level, you simply cannot.

Fact is, good old Facebook doesn’t want you to use it as a platform for business.

It’s against Facebook’s policy to operate a business from your personal profile.

In other words, your Personal Profile should be the place for keeping up with friends and family.

And if Facebook believes that you are using your personal profile against their terms and conditions like …

– Posting a bunch of self serving ad links on the newsfeed, or
– Private messaging people the wrong way

You can risk an account suspension.

If Facebook ever sees that you are using your personal profile for business purposes, such as posting a bunch of links and crowding everybody else’s News Feed with a bunch of self-serving junk they’re not really interested in, then you could have your account suspended.

The consequences are worse if you use private messaging in the wrong way. You could be permanently banned.

Negative #2 : You Can’t Advertise.

This is a major problem.

Especially if you want to grow the business big and fast.

You cannot run ads from a personal profile.

That means …

If you want to get your message out to a larger audience, and in quick time, you simply cannot.

Without a tool to expose your business on a wide scale, you will be seriously disadvantaged.

Which conveniently leads me to …

2. Facebook Business Page

Facebook Page

Look, if you want to scale your business in a manageable way, then a Business Page will solve the problems of using a personal profile.

The only minor drawback, you won’t have friends and family interacting on the page.

But you do have the option to ‘invite’ them to check out the page.

Let’s delve into it more …

Positive #1: Enormous Reach.

Using a Facebook page gives you the platform to massively widen your exposure and attract the people most interested in what you have to offer.

And the biggest benefit of starting a Facebook Page, you can leverage their advertising platform and reach out to over 1.5 billion monthly active users

For as little as two dollars a day, you can start running Facebook Paid Ads to get your message out to a target audience and start generating leads to your business.

What’s more you can run ads that re-targets a ‘Custom Audience’, your warm audience.

These are a group of people who have engaged on your videos and posts, and visited your website.

And will be more receptive to your content and marketing.

With Facebook paid ads, you can passively grow your audience and create a steady stream of new prospects who are eager to learn more about your business.

Which is a nice way to scale the business.

Positive #2 : Keeps It Professional.

My personal choice of using Facebook.

I like to keep it personal with my personal profile.

Only when a friend or family member wants to check out what I do, I’ll send an invite.

But with my Facebook Page, it’s my hub for building the business.

And building my brand.

Not only does it keep Facebook happy, it’s more professional to do so.

Positive #3: A Place For Lead Generation

A Facebook page is designed for the use of generating more leads and sales from an ever-expanding audience.

Which is awesome for a business.

Just by consistently posting content of value (Live video, videos, posts, images) to people in your niche, you can potentially gain new fans and followers organically … FREE.

Positive #4: A Business Asset.

The huge advantage of using a Page is that as you are operating a business professionally, you’re building an asset.

Overtime, this asset becomes a massive time saver where you can set an engagement strategy, and let it run on autopilot.

Can you imagine how much time you can save?

Unlike a personal Profile, you have to continually post new stuff, annoy a whole bunch of friends and family, see the post vanish in a heartbeat without much traction.

And more likely, most people you’ve ‘friended’ are probably using the same strategy.

Basically spamming each other, and taking up each other’s newsfeed, which drowns each other’s posts out.

However, with a Facebook Page, you can post out your informative posts, generate more exposure organically and start paid ads to passively generate leads, customers, and recruits even while you sleep, or out for a round of golf.

Positive #5 : Schedule Posts And Story.

This is a huge time saver.

Using the Facebook Business Suite from a laptop or a mobile device, you can easily batch your content and have it scheduled to go out on autopilot.

In fact, I have 2 weeks of content scheduled and ready to go.

Which you can’t do on a personal profile.

With that said, start your Facebook marketing journey by focusing on the second strategy as outlined in this article Two Facebook Marketing Strategies To Focus On Building now.

In closing …

When it comes to choosing between a Facebook Profile or Page, there’s no right or wrong.

To be successful on either platform, it’s really about connecting with your ideal audience and building up the trust factor.

Which means getting crystal clear on your market, like what are their problems (not yours) and finding solutions to help fix them.

But if you really want to scale a business, then a Facebook business page is the way to go.

Unlike a personal profile, you can use a page to promote your business and personal brand online.

And it has many advantages.

You have the option to use Facebook advertising to grow a warm audience … and in quick time.

You do have the ability to schedule out your posts on autopilot.

Which gives you both leverage and automation.

And helps position you as a person of trust, and as a professional entrepreneur.

If you got value from this post feel free to share it!

And to help you crank out a never endling flow of social content, I’ve compiled a cheat sheet “93 Social Media Post Ideas You Can Use To Attract The Best Prospects And Boost Your Engagement“.

Here’s 5 Ways You Can Repurpose Live Video Content For More Exposure

Here’s 5 Ways You Can Repurpose Live Video Content For More Exposure

Here’s 5 Ways You Can Repurpose Live Video Content For More Exposure

Repurposing video content is an effective way to scale your content.

Don’t waste one single Live Video when you stop broadcasting.

Because, if you treat it as a one time thing, you will be missing out on more traffic, more leads and more sales.

That’s a big mistake I made early on. I would go Live, end the broadcast and just leave it alone with no second thoughts.

Then, I would just check the stats to see the reach and engagements.

Bad idea.

However, you can breathe more life into your Live videos simply by repurposing video content.

What Does It Mean To Repurpose Your Video Content?

Think of it as reusing video content, like your Live stream.  This means for me, I can turn an existing video content into different formats so I can increase my reach.

Which is a fantastic way to scale.

Before I go on: It’s no secret that video marketing, especially Live video streaming, is huge.

Not only can it generate more exposure, it can help quickly boost your personal brand. Only, if you focus on delivering content that helps people.

When it comes to Live broadcasting, the biggest challenge is to get it in front of the people who need to see it.

Sometimes, the platform will give you a good reach. Other times, not so.

And it sucks when the algorithms can dictate the reach your videos can have.

This is when repurposing video content greatly helps!

What Are The Benefits of Repurposing Content?

The main benefits of repurposing video content are:

  • If you have an existing content that has performed, you can recycle it as it might have a chance to generate the same result, or better.
  • Let’s face it. Not every content will be a winner. Why not repurpose a Live video that didn’t perform well, spruce it up and give it a chance to redeem on another platform.
  • Increase your reach across different platforms.
  • Increase your brand presence online.
  • Optimize your time. This means, by reusing one piece of existing content, you not only save time, you can scale and focus on other areas of the business.

How Do I Repurpose Live Video on Facebook?

Now, if you want to turn your Live videos into multiple pieces of content, I’m going to share some well known ways to repurpose them.

You may even find the following strategies boring.

But, it’s so easy to do. Just needs a bit of your time.

But if you want more exposure, it’s worth the effort.

The big plus of repurposing video content. You’ll be stressing less over content creation. I know I have. Here we go:

1. Don’t Turn Your Back on YouTube

Youtube is wildly popular. You wouldn’t want to miss out on this opportunity here to get more eyeball traffic to your content.

And if you optimize it well for the community, you can get some Youtube love (and some Google love too).

To get it going, I’m going to assume you’ve been Live broadcasting from your Facebook Page. And recording the video on landscape.

Simply, go to ‘Creator Studio’, which by the way is a neat tool for managing and scheduling your content.

Then visit the ‘Published’ tab.

Select ‘Live Videos’, choose the Live video and then ‘Download HD’.

You can even do this with pre-recorded videos too.

While you’re at it, make sure you add an ‘intro’ and an ‘outro’ for your videos. It’s a way to jazz it up for the community.

Another way to get a presence on Youtube is with Shorts (videos under 60 seconds). Again, hugely popular.

You can easily clip one of your long form videos into Shorts using the Youtube App (or even Canva), and publish it there.

And, if you want to skip the editing stuff, you can easily record a portrait video for shorts.

I’ve gotten quick traction with Shorts. More so than my Long form videos. So give it a go.

2. Turn It Into a Story

Facebook story gets top billing on newsfeed. So, it makes sense to take advantage of this prime real-estate for more eye traffic.

With Creator Studio, you can clip your Live Videos and Long form videos for Facebook (and Instagram) Story and Reels. It’s just another boring way to reuse your videos for more exposure.

You can even do this with the Youtube App. Simply trim and select the clip you want, and you’re good to go with Shorts (and even on Story too).

3. Turn It Into A Blog Post

This can be either an easy or harder task.

For the easier way, you can use Rev or Simonsays to transcribe your video. Once it’s done, tidy up the transcribed text, and then post it with the video.

If you want to go the manual way, you can use ‘Creator Studio’ or even Youtube to grab the transcription, which then requires editing, as it will not be entirely accurate.

Depending on the length of your video, this will require a bit of your time.

However, I’m surprised with the accuracy of the AI transcription. Not bad at all.

But I must admit, I normally prefer creating the video content (Live or pre-recorded) around the topic of my post. Which for me, I found it easier to craft the video script for.

This means, I would firstly create the blog post content, edit it, then create the outline for my video, go Live and then ’embed’ the Live Video (or Youtube video) along with the post.

4. Bribe Your Readers

A free bribe can be awesome. No, I don’t mean bribing a police officer out of a speeding ticket.

Much like step 3 above, you can easily record your video, get it transcribed and then turn it into a handy lead magnet (a guide, or even an ebook).

You know, the ones you can bribe your leads, in exchange for an email address

It’s a fantastic way to build an online audience by turning them into email subscribers with a FREE bribe.

I’m big on building an email list, because it can help build a relationship based on trust and value. This means, helping email subscribers as best I can.

Why not bribe your reader, at every chance.

5. Lend Your Voice To Podcasting.

Your voice can be helpful too.

You see, there’s a big pocket of people who love listening to audio. And you can easily extract your audio component from any video for podcasting.

If you’re on Windows, you can use Movie Maker to ‘Extract Audio’ or google online for an audio extractor to get it done.

Once you have the MP3 file, you can then start podcasting the episodes and get it out to various podcast directories.

Nice.

Give It A Go Now.

How I wish I had taken advantage of my Live Videos earlier. Simply by repurposing video content, I could have scaled my content marketing, saved lots of time and increased my reach.

The next time you broadcast, make sure you turn every Live Video into a valuable piece of content, and give it new life across different formats.

Start with one now, and recycle it every time.

And then experiment with other channels. Get it out and see what works for you.

The ones that do work, replicate it. So you can passively attract the best prospects online.

Although it will require a bit of time and effort to put together, it will be worth the effort.

There’re just some boring ideas you can use now, to take your Live Videos further.

Simply by repurposing video content, you’ll be squeezing more out of your videos for more exposure.

How To Build a Huge Team With Facebook Lead Ads

How To Build a Huge Team With Facebook Lead Ads

How To Build a Huge Team With Facebook Lead Ads

In this post, let’s look at how you can set up a Facebook Lead Ads so you can attract high quality prospects online, and without the need to use a landing page or website. It’s quick to set up and it’s super handy for a visitor, and in most cases, cheaper to advertise using Facebook’s lead ads.

Here’s why it’s cheaper. You’re not directing traffic off Facebook’s platform. Facebook likes that.

And the reason it’s quick, Facebook has your landing page covered. No designing on your part or funny coding required. Add in the fields you want, add a privacy policy page, provide an offer and you’re set to go.

And the reason it’s super handy. When any Facebook visitor lands on the Lead Capture Form, Facebook auto-populates it … and BOOM, you have the name and contact details filled out. Your visitor receives the link to the offer and you get to build an email list.

Which makes it really convenient.

“8 ESSENTIAL STEPS TO LEARN NOW TO

RECRUIT EASILY – REJECTION FREE –

WITHOUT HAVING TO CHASE PEOPLE DOWN…

… & GROW A BIG TEAM FAST”

And another great thing about FB Leads Ads …

The Lead Ads (and form) are optimized for mobile users, where according to Hootsuite “Most users — 98.5% — use Facebook on their mobile device, but 81.8% of people strictly access the platform via mobile. Comparatively, only 56.8% of all Internet traffic is from mobile devices.”

That’s a staggering number of Facebook mobile users.

Oh, and one more thing – you can sync Facebook Leads ads with Zapier or a customer-relationship management system(CRM) to download the captured data of names and contact details, like the email address.

(By the way, you can also download the CSV files FB provides, but it’s a really slow and manual way to go – but it’s an option for FB marketers who do not have a CRM.)

Which is really important to have, so you can Follow Up, build a relationship, deliver more value, and then point your prospects to an offer.

The key here is …

You need to dig into the market and find out what they want, set up your FB Lead Ads, and offer a free lead magnet (content that people are going to consume) in return for their name and email. And continue to educate, inform and then point them to answers through stuff that helps.

Look. if you want to recruit the right people into your team, and quick, Facebook paid ads should be one of your two key Facebook marketing strategies. Not only can you get your message out quickly, you can attract the right people who are most interested in your product, service or business opportunity.

How To Generate High Quality Leads On Facebook

How To Generate High Quality Leads On Facebook

How To Generate High Quality Leads On Facebook

Unless you’ve been living in the deepest, darkest region of the Amazon Rainforest, Facebook is not only the biggest social network in the world, it’s an important business tool for companies off all sizes, from a one man home business to the biggest corporation.

According to Statista …

During the second quarter of 2021, Facebook reported almost 1.9 billion daily active users (DAU). Overall, daily active users accounted for 66 percent of monthly active users. With roughly 2.89 billion monthly active users, Facebook is the most popular social network worldwide.”

With a super mega number of active users, Facebook can play a big role in helping you reach a whole new audience that you might otherwise may have unable to do so.

And with the Facebook algorithm, it can help your content get more reach and exposure via it’s search, develop a strong community around your business, and build a strong brand.

But generating leads and prospects on Facebook is not an easy game.

So how to do you generate leads on Facebook?

Before I get onto that part, I like to highlight this point.

People use Facebook to socialize and read content. They don’t go on it just to see ads.

Which means, you have to make sure you create useful content for them … your target audience.

Plus when you are using Facebook for business purposes, you have to abide by their rules and guidelines.

With that said, here’s …

10 Facebook Lead Generation Tips for a Home Based Business.

All you need to do is pick one or two strategies, take action and apply it consistently.

Even if you’re currently generating leads on Facebook, these strategies can give a small boost in your lead generation game.

And attract more prospects. Which we all want, right?

1. Landing Pages

One of the best ways to generate leads on Facebook is to direct people to a landing page.

Which allows a lead to leave both their name and email for a FREE compelling offer. (Don’t have a lead magnet offer, here’s how to create a high value lead magnet in 30 minutes or less.)

And make sure you spell out clearly to the reader what they’re getting.

If it is to a blog post, make sure it is clear.

If it is to a sign up form, make sure it is clear.

The last thing you want is, when a reader clicks on a link thinking they’re about to read a blog post, but find themselves having to fill out a form.

This will not only confuse and irritate them, you could possibly lose a prospect.

Make use you tell them what to do. Use a Call to Action (CTA) phrase, like “Download your ebook” or “Grab your cheat sheet”,  and where you’re sending them. And grow that email list so you can follow up with more value, build the trust and then make more sales.

Here’s an example from my own landing page here.

#2. Post To Your Blog

Another great way of generating leads from your blog content is to post on Facebook.

The key here is to create a topic and a title of the blog post that will grab people’s attention, and get them to click and read.

Preferably place the CTA near the introduction, where it is most visible — giving a solution to a problem they’re facing or to a content they want to learn more about.

People do enjoy viewing and sharing content on Facebook, and creating informative blog posts that can drive more eyeball traffic is a great strategy to get more leads.

So the next time you post on Facebook (Live, Video, Text, Story), direct your traffic to your blog (and landing page).

#3 Include Links in Your Image Captions

A Facebook post with a great image will stand out, and it will get a higher engagement rate. More than a post without images.

Simply posting a description of the high value offer with a link to a landing page or to your website, you can turn it into a lead generation opportunity.

But, don’t make every post about the landing page or to the website. Post other good stuff that your group of people wants to read. Again, it’s building the relationship.

#4 Use Facebook Lives

Facebook favors videos, especially Lives.

Personally, my Lives generate more reach than a standard post and image.

And if you’ve been sitting on the fence about going Live, then it’s time to get out of your comfort zone.

Because Facebook Lives and video content marketing will help to bridge the connection between your viewer and your brand quicker.

As well, according to 99Firm …

The Facebook Live video view count climbed to 2 billion viewers last year.

The daily watch time for Facebook Live broadcasts quadrupled in a single year.

Facebook Live videos produce 6 times as many interactions as traditional videos.

Facebook Live videos get 10 times more comments than regular videos.

Facebook Live’s search popularity increased by 330% in just one year.

Facebook Live users watch FB Live videos 3 times longer than pre-uploaded video.

With 2 billions viewers, Facebook live does present another opportunity to attract more people.

And if you want engagement, then a Facebook Live will get you 10 times more comments than then regular videos.

Like strategy #3 above, make sure you include a link to your website with a CTA, landing page, sales page, blog post, or whatever you want in the video description.

And just like a standard video, be sure to verbal out your Call to Action during a Live … a few times.

Because when you begin a live stream, you may have no one watching.

You may even have only have a few people attending during the first few seconds in.

And as viewers stumble onto your video via their News Feeds, they might watch your Live.

Which means you’ll have to repeat the CTA a few times for newish viewers.

As mentioned earlier, you can also add your CTA in the Live description.

Overall, Facebook Lives are an effective way to generate more leads.

#5 Facebook Story

Facebook story gets top billing on user’s newsfeed. Hence, it only makes sense to start posting your story to generate more prospects to your blog, your landing page and so on.

And the nice thing, and only if you have set up a Facebook Page, you can take advantage of creator studio to schedule out story and posts.

#6 Pin Your Post

Now this is a simple one to take advantage of readers coming to your page.

All you need to do is ‘PIN’ a welcome video, highlight a video replay or post to the top of your business page…

With a CTA and a link to a landing page and so on.

Or you can pin the latest video or Live to showcase your brand.

A pinned post occupies a nice amount of real estate on your page which allows you to showcase a post.

#7 Add a CTA Button On Your Page

Another simple Facebook trick to passively drive more leads, is to add a relevant CTA button to your Facebook Page.

This simple CTA button is located visibly at the top of the page, which can help attract traffic from the Facebook Page to a landing page, other lead generation forms, blog and website.

The CTA buttons available range from: “Sign Up,” “Shop Now,” “Contact Us,” “Book Now,” “Use App,” Watch Video,” and “Play Game.”

As well …

While some marketers choose to set a CTA button and forget it, you could rotate that buttons — and the links — to run it in line with a campaign and business goals you’re running at the time.

You can check out a CTA Button on my Facebook Page here.

#8 Facebook Groups

Join niche groups where your perfect audience hangs out … and network.

Look out for trending topics and questions … and add value to the group.

By contributing value to the group, you might attract people interested in connecting with you.

Alternatively, you can create your own group to connect with other like minded people.

It’s really a great forum to showcase your value through content marketing, promote upcoming events, build a team community and more.

#9 Run Facebook Targeted Ads To Promote

Facebook advertising is a powerful platform to generate passive quality leads into your business.

As well, it’s cheap to get started.

Here’s a post I covered about the Benefits of Facebook Advertising.

And what is even more effective are video ads.

Whether it is a conversion campaign, an engagement campaign or a traffic campaign, try video ads to drive more leads.

As well, you can run paid ads to your blog post which leads the reader to an offer at the end of the post.

#10 Run Lead Ads

Don’t have a landing page, why not use Facebook lead ads!

This Facebook ad campaign allows you to create an instant capture form.

Which makes it really easy for mobile users to fill out their name and email.

This is because when a lead clicks on a lead ad, a form pops up loaded with their contact details, instantly.

These personal details are actually pulled from where they have shared with Facebook, such as name and email address.

That means no fiddling around and finger typing into tiny form fields.

Super convenient.

To extract the leads, you can use a third party software like Zapier.

In closing …

Facebook is one of the best social networks to generate leads online … by far.

The tools Facebook does provide for both organic traffic and paid ads are not only effective, it’s simple to use.

Even if you are tight on budget, consider using the 10 free options to start generating leads on Facebook.

And when you do have the budget, try leveraging Facebook advertising (like video ads) to attract more passive leads to the business.

Most of all, post a nice library of great content on your Facebook page and build up your value.

Be consistent.

And whenever you get a comment or a like, engage and reply back.

Please note, driving eyeball traffic to the business page does not mean that you go all out spamming your page in all the posts and comments you leave. Aim to help people out with good, solid content.

If you got value from this post feel free to share it!

Two Key Facebook Marketing Strategies To Focus On Building

Two Key Facebook Marketing Strategies To Focus On Building

;

Without question, there are plenty of skepticism online … and rightly so.

There are simply too many people and businesses that over hype and deliver very little in value.

And it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

When it comes to buying online, people want to know who they are doing business with.

They want to be able to trust you before they buy.

Which leads to this question.

Is it possible to drive a lot of traffic and make sales?

Yes.

But if you want to get sales, commissions or even signups, you need to build a relationship with your audience. People who know and trust your brand.

Once you do have an audience that trust you, you’ll most likely grow a following … and more than likely buy from you repeatedly.

And in order to build that audience and to be able to promote to them regularly, here are two areas in Facebook you can start focusing.

Two Proven Facebook Marketing Strategies

Strategy #1 – Start A Facebook Business Page.

I’ve covered this in a previous post about the advantages of using a Facebook Page here.

Put it simply, with a Facebook page you can promote your business and brand … by delivering information that will help your ideal group of people.

And the great thing with a business page, you can scale the business with targeted paid ads.

Which means, you can set up an automated marketing system to attract the best people to your business while you sleep …. and for as little as $2 a day.

Whether it is using engagement ads or a conversion ad campaign, you will have the ability to reach out to a target audience in very quick time.

The BIG question you then have to answer is …

Who’s your target audience?

Let’s face it, not everyone is your prospect. So it’s very important you get specific on your ideal audience.

That means, understanding their needs, problems, frustrations and desires.

Once you have determined your audience, it’s time to start cranking out useful (not crap) content that they are looking out for … consistently.

And if the content does resonate with them, you’ll get more engagements, and more organic reach from Facebook.

Which also means more exposure for your content.

So get a content strategy in place, and get it out to your reader.

As well, you can also drive more targeted traffic to your content via paid ads for more reach.

Although Facebook Ads is optional, it is the fastest way to start generating traffic to your business page (or Facebook group).

Strategy #2 – Grow A Custom Audience.

If you’re not familiar with this, don’t worry.

And it is an effective Facebook marketing strategy used by many.

With a ‘Custom Audience’, Facebook will track all sorts of activity from traffic to your website and any engagements (people who have clicked, viewed, reacted, etc) on your Facebook (and even your Instagram) page.

You might be wondering, “How does Facebook track my website?”

Simple. You simply install a snippet of code (Pixel) into your website.

Which allows you to stay in front of those people with Facebook Paid Ads for a tiny budget of $1 a day or even $2 or more a day!

By re-targeting people who have engaged on your Facebook page, who have visited your website or been exposed to your brand, it gives you the ability to turn them from an interested prospect to a ready to buy customer.

Or even a motived team mate.

This is one of the most effective strategies you can use if you’re using a Facebook page for business.

Every visitor to your posts, videos, website, blog, capture page, etc. can be gathered and then be retargeted with similar offers. Offers that are aligned to their needs.

Sweet.

And large companies like Amazon and eBay have been at it for longer and do it really well.

Let me ask you …

Have you ever noticed after browsing a website, an advertisement pops up on your Facebook account about that same website you just visited?

Well, that’s what you can do with Facebook.

You can start a Facebook video engagement campaign and retarget the people who visited your website and engaged on your Facebook posts … and indoctrinate your brand.

That is just one of the many possibilities.

Finally …

Growing an audience and building that trust is essential …. online.

To do that, you need to deliver value. Value that will benefit your audience.

When you have a relationship with the a target audience, it goes a long way in getting more sales and sign ups.

And by taking advantage of Facebook Ads ability to ‘retarget’ your offer to a warm audience, it is simply powerful.

These are the people who know you.

So do yourself a favor, know your target market, set up a Facebook page, post a catalogue of solid content, start driving traffic, grow a custom audience and start building an email list of your ideal audience.
